Congratulations to Tyler Smith and Evan Letkeman for qualifying for the World Trials in April at SCP. During a time trial on Saturday morning (March 16th), Tyler swam strongly in the 1500 metres to better the qualifying standard by 15 seconds in 16:21. Evan hung on in the last 50 metres of the 200 metre butterfly to slip under the standard at 2:08:24.

The second evening of the 2013 Provincial SC Swimming Championships began explosively for UVPCS in the 200IM
In the 13 year old girls Jordan Andrusak and Lauren Crisp powered away from the field to a 1-2 finish. Jordan finished with the gold in 2:21 while Lauren Crisp smashed her best concluding in 2:24.
15 Year old Girls Final featured Vicky Mock hammering home in 2:22 - just out of the medals but with a PB of over 3 seconds.
15 year old Victoria Mock had a sensational session tonight at Provincials with personal bests in 200IM(4th) and 200Fr(2nd). Her preliminary efforts established PB's in both events to get her into the action tonight. In the finals Vicky showed great determination in powering her way to 2:22 and 2:05.
13 year old girls Jordan Andrusak and Lauren Crisp had a "beautiful game" going on tonight as they lead the team on to the score board in Day Two of the Provincial Championships.
Jordan cut 3 seconds off her best from the morning to confidently take gold in 2:21. Teammate Lauren Crisp also cut a bunch off her rest to earn the silver in 2:24.
Last Season Rosie Moulton made it under the Senior National qualifying time in 200IM..before the standard was changed taking away her ability to compete at this year's World Championships trials..tonight she is back in the running getting it done in 2:17.9. Way to go Rosie.
