Aimeson King represented PCS and Canada this past Saturday at the Fran Crippen Cup open water swimming competition in Fort Myers, Florida, coming in 10th (4th Canadian) in a strong field of 30 swimmers. Alexander Meyer of the U.S. won the gold medal Saturday clocking one hour, 52 minutes and 47.39 seconds.
It was one of Aimeson's better races as he continues to show solid improvement.
The following PCS Swimmers have been selected to represent Western Canada at this summer's National East West Dual meet. The event will take place two days after the Age Group Nationals in Winnipeg and will pit the best 14-15 year olds in Western Canada against their counter parts from the East. The swimmers were choosen off of times done in meets up to March 31st.

UVPCS had a very successful Pan Pac/Commonwealth Games Trials. Jon McKay was selected to Represent Canada in Hawaii this summer at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships following his 5th place performance at the meet. His time in the 1500m Free put him on the team and broke the Senior club record formerly held by 2 time Olympian Rick Say, Jon Will also join Vicky Mock competing in Canada’s trials for the 10km Open Water Junior pac and Junior Worlds teams. The selection event will be held in the Cayman Islands in June.
Please remember, Wednesday April 9, 2014 is the Club Picture Night and Fun Relays. All swimmers are asked to be at Saanich Commonwealth Place at 5:00pm. Please bring a Bolt or LFSS t-shirt, swim suit, goggles and towel. The fun relays will finish by 7:00pm.
Saturday began with another strong morning for the group in Winnipeg. Allison Ballantyne qualified for the 100FR and 200BK A finals. Anya Pasemko qualified for the 200BK A final, and Victoria von Sacken Nash qualified for the 50BR B final with one of the only best times of the morning. The highlight of the morning session was Raymond Chou's 50 BR with a new personal best of of 31.91 dropping almost 2 seconds and securing a spot in the A final.
Friday was the first full day of competition at the Pan-Am Games Pool in Winnipeg for Man-Sask Championship. The previous evening Allison Ballantyne, Anya Pasemko, Victoria von Sacken Nash and Raymond Chou all swam the 200IM. Victoria logged the team's only best time in the event with a 5 second improvement. Both Allison and Anya qualified for the 13/14 B-Final which will be swam Saturday evening.
This was the first senior meet for many of the PCS crew. And it was quite a showing. Night was punctuated by a new Senior Open club record for Sawchuk, Moulton, Gowans and Andrusak on the 200F.R., and a heat and final club record Jordan Andrusak in the 200Fly.
1500 Free Amieson King and Justin Howe opened the evening claiming 3rd and 4th with a PB for Justin.
