2021 Virtual VIR Championships - Final Results

The 2021 Virtual Vancouver Island Regional Championships were a big success! The VIRs looked a little different this year, having been held virtually all across the Island over the past month. PCS came away as the top club over the Island once again with an incredible 116 athletes participating. Athletes representing PCS won a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal in 98 out of 124 events and won gold in 14 out of 24 relay events.  Despite the difficult training circumstances this season, nearly every single PCS swimmer came away with a best time from last season.

"When it comes to swimming, it’s something I know how to do. But if you were to put me in my university’s swim practice for a day, I would absolutely be beat by the warmup. Personally, I think swimming is such a cool sport and I regret not continuing swim club and taking part in the sport in high school.

Bottle Drive - Thanks! and Reminder.

All,

Thank you to all who were out for a beautiful morning in January to help out with the Bottle Drive. The drive netted the club $3900.00 toward keeping everything rolling through these strange and challenging times.

Reminder that ALL recyclable, bottles etc that can go to THE BOTTLE DEPOT can be donated to Pacific Coast Swimming. When you drop off recycables there tell the attendant that you would like the deposits to go to Pacific Coast Swimming... not PCS. (Other groups called PCS).
