Here are the highlights from the first 2 days of competition at the 2011 Speedo Western Canadian Championships in Kamloops from coach Rod.

Day One
Thursday Prelims - New Club Records:

Highlights from the Last Day of AA's in Chilliwack

Day 3 of competition at the 2011 AA's Short Course Championships has wrapped up and PCS swimmers have more trips to the podium.

Here are the highlights from the last day of competition:

Medal Winners:
Anna Letkeman - Gold in Girls 12 Year Olds 200 SC Meter Freestyle
Justin Howe - Silver in Boys 13 Year Olds 200 SC Meter Freestyle
Patricia Horwood - Bronze in Girls 11 & Under 100 SC Meter Breaststroke and Silver in Girls 11 & Under 400 SC Meter IM

Downing Down Under

While our junior swimmers are competing in Chilliwack, UVic-PCS swimmer MacKenzie Downing competed for Canada at the New South Wales State Open Championships being held this week at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre in Sydney, Australia.

She competed against some of the world’s best and finished 2nd in the 200 Butterfly in 2:09.57 (LC), the 2nd fastest time swum in the world so far this year (Swim News rankings). She was 5th in the 100 Butterfly in a time of 1:00.25(LC).

Day 2 AA Highlights

Day 2 of competition at the 2011 AA's Short Course Championships sees some more podium finishes for PCS swimmers.

Day 1 Updates from AA's in Chilliwack

After the first day of competition at the 2011 AA's Short Course Championships, PCS has found the podium in 3 events and many of the swimmers are setting new personal bests and making new time standards!

Women Third, Men Fourth After Final Day of Canada West Swimming Championships

VANCOUVER - Three more swimmers from the University of Victoria Vikes achieved the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) standard as the Vikes women placed third, edging out Alberta by 13 points, and the Vikes men fourth at the 2011 Canada West swimming championships at the UBC Aquatic Centre in Vancouver.

The Vikes now prepare for the CIS swimming championships to be held in Calgary, Feb. 24-26.
