PCS places 2nd at Winter Provincials

PCS made waves at the 2025 Winter Provincials this past weekend, delivering an incredible performance that secured us a 2nd-place overall finish with a massive score of over 2,000 points. With 45 athletes racing, we saw outstanding swims, record-breaking performances, and incredible teamwork.

New Club Records Set

Boys 11-12 400m Freestyle Relay - Taking down a 2 year old record, Derek Francois, Ari Stamhuis, Owen Schroeder and River Chin swam an impressive 4:28.98 on the 4x100m freestyle relay

Boys 15-17 800m Freestyle Relay – A phenomenal swim by Kieran Feenstra, Josh Lyu, Rubin Lee, and Alex Camaraire shattered the previous club record by six seconds, setting a new mark of 8:00.76. This time replaces the 2024 record and showcases the team's relentless drive for improvement

Boys 15-17 400m Freestyle Relay - 3:36.87 swam again by Alex Camaraire, Rubin Lee, Kieran Feenstra and Eason Zhou. 

Boys 15-17 200m Freestyle Relay - Another club record for swimmers Alex Camaraire, Rubin Lee, Kieran Feenstra, and Eason Zhou with a time of 1:39.36 

Boys 15-17 200m Medley Relay – The team of Rubin Lee, Eason Zhou, Alex Camaraire, and Kieran Feenstra took down a longstanding club record from 2019 by one second, clocking in at 1:47.95

Maelle Sanborn (Girls 13-14 200m Breaststroke) –Maelle started the meet off strong taking almost 3 seconds off her previous club record in the 200m breatstroke with a time of 2:32.82

Maelle Sanborn (Girls 13-14 100m Breaststroke) – Sanborn delivered an incredible race, breaking yet another club record with a time of 1:11.70, earning a well-deserved silver medal in the event

Ada Chen (Girls 11-12 400m Freestyle) - Breaking a club record that has been up since 2005, Ada went an impressive 4:37.42 in the 400m freestyle

This weekend’s results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our swimmers and coaches. Every athlete contributed to our outstanding team score, and we couldn't be prouder of the effort, determination, and sportsmanship displayed throughout the meet.
