PCS swimmers shine at the 2025 African Aquatics Zone 2 Championships

Congratulations PCS swimmer Tamba Boamah for winning 7 medals for Ghana at the 2025 African Aquatics Zone 2 Swimming Championships this past month. Tamba placed 2nd in the 100m breaststroke, 2nd in the 50m breaststroke, 3rd in the 100m freestyle, 2nd of the 200m breaststroke and 2nd in the 50m freestyle as well as 2 relay medals. Tamba's younger brother, Yamin, also competed placing 5th in the 400m IM and 3rd in the 1500m freestyle. We are beyond proud of our PCS swimmers for their dedication and hard work to travel and compete, representing their home country.

A Legacy of Excellence: Peter Vizsolyi Inducted into the Swim BC Hall of Fame

Swim BC proudly welcomes Dr. Peter Vizsolyi into the Hall of Fame, recognizing his remarkable contributions as both a Coach and a Builder in the sport of swimming. Over more than four decades, Peter has shaped the landscape of competitive swimming in British Columbia and across Canada. Guiding athletes, developing programs, and helping build the very foundations that support the sport today.

2025 Far Western Adventures

Two UVPCS athletes set their sights on the prestigious Far Western Championships in California, one of the continent’s most competitive age-group meets. Coming from different backgrounds and communities, both brought unique strengths to the pool, united by a shared dream to compete among the best.

2025 Canada Summer Games Highlights

Canada Games 2025 St. John’s, NL

UVPCS athletes made a strong impression at the 2025 Canada Games in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Maelle Sanborn and Alex Camaraire arrived early to train with the Newfoundland team and acclimatize before the rest of Team BC joined on August 8. Their preparation paid off, as all four PCS representatives left with medals.

Grand Prix du Quebec Highlights

16 UVPCS athletes and 3 coaches took to the sky and flew to Montreal to compete at the very first edition of the Grand Prix du Quebec July 24-27th at the beautiful Parc Jean Drapeau outdoor Aquatic Complex.

Montreal Grand Prix Highlights

Congratulations to our 16 athletes who raced at the 2025 Montreal Grand Prix! PCS had 6 records broken, and placed 5th in the medals standing against 50 other clubs. We had 23 1st place finishes and 31 podium finishes overall, as well as 47 personal best times. Way to go swimmers!
