Fourth and Final day of Western Championships

PCS went out with a bang on Sunday evening at the last session of 2022 Western Speedo Championships!

Our night started off with Bridget in the 200m butterfly, touching first in the B-final with a time of 2:27.49, qualifying for her 3rd Junior National cut in the event. On the men's side, Mattia placed fourth in the men's 200m fly A-final, breaking 2:10 with a time of 2:09.13 - another personal best from his morning swim & qualifying for Junior Nationals. Alonso & Jasper swam the B-final, with Alonso placing 4th and obtaining his 4th Junior National cut with a personal best of 2:15.7 Van Maren was just over his best placing 7th in the B-final. 

Next up we had Tchaouchev in 50m freestyle going a personal best of 25.12 and moving up in the heat to place 7th in the A-final. We had 200m I.M following, with Mattia Nardi placing 7th in the A-final, dropping more time from his morning personal best with a final time of 2:13.41. Jasper van Maren placed 2nd in the B-final with a strong swim of 2:16.61. 

To finish off the competition, we had our open 4x100m meter mixed medley relay (B. Rupert, A. Tchaouchev, M. Nardi, L. Hallett) finishing 21st overall moving up over 20 places.
