Divisional Championship Highlights

Pacific Coast Swimming delivered an outstanding performance February 20th - 22nd at the Swim BC Winter Island Coastal Divisional Championships in Vancouver at the Aquatic Center. Competing against top clubs from across the division the team earned an impressive 3rd overall finish.

The weekend was highlighted by individual event wins, multiple podium finishes, provincial qualifying times, and strong relay performances.

·        11-12 Girls 4x50 Medley Relay (Ruby Crowe, Libby Hagel, Lucy Robinson, Maya Marston): 3rd 

·        Ari Stamhuis: 3rd 200 IM, 3rd 50 Breaststroke

·        Owen Schroeder: 3rd 200 Butterfly

·        Ethan deGoey: 3rd 200 Butterfly

·        Mila Chen: 3rd 50 Breaststroke 

·        Holli Poulin: 3rd 50 Breaststroke

·        Lucy Robinson: 3rd 50 Butterfly

·        Juliana Roper: 3rd 50 Freestyle

·        Andy Zhou: 3rd 200 Breaststroke

·        11–12 Girls 4x50 Freestyle Relay (Maya Marston, Joelle Cavens, Ruby Crowe, Libby Hagel):  3rd

·        11-12 Boys 4x50 Medley Relay (Lukas Bartlett, Andy Zhou, Yamin Boamah, Noah Brown): 2nd

A special congratulations to Mila Chen, Libby Hagel, Holli Poulin, Andy Zhou for achieving their first Provincial Qualifying Times.

Overall, it was a fantastic weekend of racing, teamwork, and determination. PCS left the meet with a blistering 137 best times as well as 30 podium finishes. Watch our for some of these swimmers as they gear up to race at Provincials March 5th – 8th at our home pool.
