Wow, do they take their open water swimming seriously in Roberval, Quebec. Aimeson King is competing in the 10km World Cup race in Roberval, or specifically Lac St.-Jean tomorrow, July 25, as well as the historic 'Traversée Internationale du lac St.-Jean', which consists of a 32 km race, straight across the lake. This will be the 59th annual Traversée event in Roberval, and it is a big event for them every year. The whole town showed up tonight, as you can see in the pictures, to celebrate the swimmers and the upcoming events. I will post results as they come in, but make sure you send Aimeson some warm thoughts, especially on Saturday, because 6.5 or 7 hours racing in water under 20 degrees Celcius can be very cold!!!
