Swim-A-Thon 2015

Swim-A-Thon 2015 kicks off this coming Sunday March 1st! Information, including Swim-A-Thon dates by group, will be delivered to your inbox over this coming week so that you can set up your fundraising accounts starting this weekend. Our club goal for this season is $25,000 and we will have 8 weeks to fundraise it.

Exciting new incentives and inter-group challenges will be part of the fun this year. Don't forget to use your social media platforms to spread the word and make this fundraiser a success!

Gowans and Tyler Strike Again In Record Form

On the final day of pool events at the beautiful MacDonald Island Park facilities, Team BC put in another great team effort to pull out in front by 43 pointts and win the team title. Impressive performances were put up on both men's and women's sides. PCS was a big part of the win picking up another four medals in tonight's events.

PCS Athletes Score Big For Team BC at West Can Games

After two days of competition Team BC is out front in the pool and the four PCS swimmers in the 30 strong contingent have made a big splash with 4 gold 2 silver and a bronze. The BC team has been loud and proud and lead by 31 points with one day in the pool and one day at the open water venue to go.

Successful Weekend for Open Water Crew at Megantic

The 10km Open Water World Cup took place in Megantic, Quebec this past weekend.  PCS was represented by three swimmers - Stephanie Horner, Vicky Mock and Kaitlin Gervais all raced, and were coached by Ron Jacks.

Day four Tyler makes cut.

On the final morning in Pointe Claire Lucas Tyler had his best ever heat swim to slide into the top 20 in 18th and get a second shot tonight. His was the only swim of the morning for PCS. Molly Gowans will round out the events for the team in the 800m Free tonight.

Finals at 6:00pm EST.

Day Three brings continued success for PCS

Molly Gowans continued her run on medals in the freestyle events tonight. Gowans lead most of the race and faltered only just to take silver by .2 to Ludlow. Gowans 4:15 set a new Open club record in the process.

Lauren Crisp also rose to the occasion moving from 12th to 11th and cutting over 2 seconds from her prelim time going 2:14.3.

The final day of competition wraps up tomorrow.

Day three prelims in Pointe Claire: Molly Gowans took second spot in the 400m Free to advance to the A Final just behind Danica Ludlow(both 4:20and vie for her first National Championship. Lauren Crisp finished just out if the A Final in 12th (2:16) and will race for the 'queen of the B final' in 200m Backstroke.  Lucas Tyler was just over his best in 100m Butterfly (57.0).
