PCS Wins VIR Short Course Champs in Nanaimo!

With eighty-five Pacific Coast Swimming swimmers attending the regional meet in Nanaimo, the energy was electric on deck, helping us capture the VIR Short Course Championships. Winning the meet over cross town rival Island Swimming and eight other Vancouver Island clubs wasn`t an easy task, as the Bolts were short handed with some of our top age group swimmers racing at the Arena Grand Prix meet in Austin, Texas.

2015 VIR LC Championships

Great first day of racing finished and PCS is going strong in second place even with many of our top swimmers away at the Tucson Ford Classic. There were many great swims in the 1500s this morning including Erin Lawrance (15) racing her way to her first Senior National time. Emma Murdoch (15) earned her first Age Group National time in the 50 Fly. After several months of trying to earn her second AAA time to qualify for the meet, Laura Rincon (12) finally made her time in the 100 Breast, and shortly followed up with a 3rd AAA time in the 50 Fly.
