Virtual Western Age Group Meet

Calgary Patriots’ coach Jamie Connors clearly suffers from an excess of curiosity – over the December break he collected results from eight meets at the end of the Fall 2008 cycle and pooled (pun intended) the results to form a “virtual” Western Age Group Championship meet.

Our own PCS Xmas Cracker topped the list for number of swims included in the rankings; other meets included were the Paul Bergen Junior International Invitational (Portland, Oregon), JP Fiset Invitational (Edmonton), Prairie Winter Invitational (Winnipeg), Kamloops Ice Classic, Richmond Fastswim, and the Youth Cup & Canada Cup meets (Etobicoke). Age groups were restricted to 11-12, 13-14 and 15-17; the resulting top-16 swims per event made the rankings.

Congratulations to UVPCS swimmers Salin Bol, Sophia Borchers, Hanna Carter, Emily Ding, Caileigh Filmer, Ryan Howe, Ian Mattock, Lauren McMillan, Kody Mitchell, Remy Mock, Rosie Moulton, Rachael Newman, Stefanie Schmidt, Nicholas Sinclair and Aidan Thirkell and coaches Rod Barratt, Ron Jacks and Peter Vizsolyi on these virtual results.
