Update From Day 1 of AAA's

Here is an update from Coach Mark for the first night of AAA`s:

The first event up was the 100 Free. Our first swimmer was Salin Bol coming in second at 1:00.15. Rosie Moulton was third in 1:00.91 and Emily Ding came in 8th in 1;04.11. Katelyn Hayward was 5th in 1:02.13 in the 15 & Over. While Rachel Newman was 8th in 1:01.50.

Next event up was the 400 IM, where Rosie Moulton came in second in 5:21.35, Lauren McMillan was second also her age group with a time of 5:22.26, and Stefanie Schmidt had a big freestyle finish to come in first in a time of 5:14.69 in the 15 yr old girls. Sophia Borchers was 4th in the 15 yr olds in a time of 5:30.67.

The final individual event for the night was the 100 backstroke. Salin Bol came in 1st in 1:07.84 which is closing in on the club record. Stefanie Schmidt had a great swim to come in second with a 1:07.17. Katelyn Hayward was fourth in a time of 1:10.83. Allison Wood went 1:06.60 for her first National time and she was pretty excited!! Ryan Howe came back well at the end of his 100 back for a second place in 1:04.45.

Following that came the 4x50 free relays. The 13 & 14 girls relay (Salin, Rosie, Emily, Hanna) was first 1:53.75 setting a new club record. The 15 & over girls relay (Rachel, Salin, Katelyn, and Allison) came in third place with a time of 1:51.66 missing the old club record by only 2/100ths.
