UVic-Pacific Coast Swimming won their third consecutive SwimBC AAA Championship over the weekend.
While it was a close two-way battle between them and Richmond Rapids after Day 1 (less than a five-point differential), UVPCS took a commanding lead on Day 2 and never looked back, ending with a margin of victory of over 400 points, having accumulated 2890 points.
Richmond Rapids retained their second-place finish with 2419 points, while a resurgent Island Swimming Club was third with 1965 team points.
Rounding out the Top 5 were Vancouver Pacific Swim Club with 1697 points, followed by Canadian Dolphins Swim Club with 1600 points.
In addition to winning the meet, UVPCS is to be commended and thanked for a masterful performance in running the meet. While not overlooking the contributions of the volunteers from around the province who also contributed to running the largest-ever AAA Championships, our sincere gratitude goes out to co-Meet Managers, Margaret Penning and Kingsley Lee, for their effort in leading the team who put on this competition.
