SFU Clan Cup International and UVic-PCS Dual Meets

UVic swimmers took to the pool in two meets over the past few weeks. Their job was to achieve the qualifying standard required for entry into the Canadian Interuniversity Championships (CIS) to be held in Toronto in mid-February. And qualify they did!The SFU meet saw CIS seasonal qualifying swims from Jeff Saganski and Nicholas Sinclair, joining Derek Doerksen and Eric Stein, who posted their times at the Senior Circuit meet held at the end of October. The UVic-PCS Dual meet added 6 more swimmers to the group: Ryan Clouston, Ella Dalling, David Killy, Siobhan Newell, Jessica Pietrusiak, and David Vizsolyi.Additional highlights included top-3 finishes from Katherine Cook, Ella Dalling, David Killy, Siobhan Newell, Danielle Newton, Jessica Pietrusiak, Jeff Saganski, Nicholas Sinclair, Annika Schmuch and Eric Stein at the SFU Invitation Meet and best times from Sophia Borchers, Katherine Cook, Derek Doerksen, Caileigh Filmer, Katelyn Hayward, Ryan Howe, Annie MacIntosh, Ian Mattock, Zac Parkes, Jackson Sinclair, Sage Sturgeon, David Vizsolyi, Leanna Woo and Melanie Yu at the UVic-PCS Dual Meet.Congratulations swimmers and Coaches Peter Vizsolyi and Rod Barratt!
