Junior Pan Pacific Championships

The Junior Pan Pacific Championships are taking place January 8-12 in Guam, and UVPCS swimmer Nicholas Sinclair is on the Canadian team.

Like the Pan Pacific Championships, there are restrictions on how many swimmers from each country proceed to finals - only three swimmers advance, with a maximum of two in A-finals - so not only must the athletes swim fast in morning heats, but they have to rank top-3 within their country to earn a second swim.

Watch live results and this site for all the news.

Good luck and fast swimming to all the athletes... Go Nick! Go Canada!

On Day 4, Nick competed in a fifth-event second swim, finishing 13th overall from B-finals in the 200IM, to close out the 2009 Junior Pan Pacs. Congratulations, Nick!
