PCS Claws it`s way back after Session 1.
At the Age Group Provincial Championships with over 475 competitors, the PCS crew came back in the second session and swam really well. After Session 1, the team was sitting in 17th place, but after Session 2, the team was in 5th and not far behind the top 3 teams.
Session 2 had the 200MR, 200FR Final, 100BK, and 100FL. There are heats and finals in the 200FR and 200IM only at this meet. The boys relay team of Nolan Crisp, Atanas Tchaouchev, Jasper Van Maren, and Griffin Arnatt placed 5th starting the night off with some good efforts.
Next up was the 200FR where Kate Marcovitz placed 6th in the 11 year old age group in a best time. Bridget Rupert was 7th in the 12 year old category. Alonso Gutierrez placed 4th in the 12 year old boys in a new club record time 2:08.36. Followed up by Nolan 2:12.78 for 7th place. Griffin placed 5th to finish off a good string of 200FR's.
100BK was the next event and Kate placed 4th, followed by Bridget in 5th, and in the boys Nolan placed 2nd, just missing the gold by .01 in a club record time of 1:03.55. Alonso was 6th. Griffin also got outouched for a 3rd place in a super tight race where 4th was also .01 behind Griffin.
Last event was the 100FL where Bridget placed 3rd in 1:08.52. Nolan placed 4th in a new club record time of 1:05.73.
400IM was in the a.m. session and Bridget placed 5th and had a very busy 1st day.
The meet continues today with 2 sessions and finishes Sunday with one final session.
